It’s Monday! Boy what a great weekend we had for Brian Saaristo and his family. A huge thank you to one and all for a very exciting benefit for the Brian Saaristo family. The Pancake Breakfast Saturday was a huge success.

Memorial services for Randy J. Reece will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Mr. Reece, 50, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Our beloved Vera James went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, surrounded by her family at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where she died of cancer.
There’s lots of stuff to do and see this weekend. First off, the Grand Marais Art Colony will hold an opening reception for the Member’s Art Exhibit from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22. Then, at 7 p.m., the band Grace Darling will perform at the Old Playhouse Theater.
