Take a quick walk down any of the side streets surrounding Macalester’s campus and you’ll see a bevy of yard signs touting candidates for various political offices both here in St. Paul and statewide—sheriff, county judge, state and national House and Senate.
Four area political candidates were able to shed some light on where they stand on the issues Thursday night. The Cloquet Chamber of Commerce, partnering with WKLK and the Pine Journal, sponsored a candidate forum at City Hall on Thursday evening.
On Monday, October 3, the Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs hosted the 2006 Minority Political Summit. Its objective was the integration of minority priorities into policy platforms for candidates for statewide and other elected offices prior to the November election.

Minnesota Law & Politics magazine named John Kelly of the Duluth law firm as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Minnesota. He is one of only two attorneys practicing outside of the Twin Cities metro area to earn the honor.
